Zdeněk Bartoš

Zdeněk Bartoš is a Czech theatre director and dramaturg. He studied directing at the Department of Drama Theatre at DAMU under the guidance of Jaroslava Šiktancová and Lukáš Hlavica. Since January 2006, he has been active at the West Bohemian Theatre in Cheb, where he gradually became a key creative figure. Since 2018, he has also served as Head of Drama at the Karlovy Vary City Theatre, which closely co-produces its productions with the Cheb theatre. Zdeněk Bartoš has also collaborated with theatres in Mladá Boleslav, Kladno, Ostrava, Opava, and Liberec. In addition to directing, he is involved in dramaturgy, adaptations of literary works, and translations from French and English.
