Michal Čapka
Michal Čapka is a Czech theatre and film actor from a well-known acting family – his father is actor Jiří Čapka and his brother actor Filip Čapka. He graduated from the Janáček Conservatory in Ostrava and early in his career established himself as a strong performer of psychologically demanding roles.
He worked, for example, at the Municipal Theatre in Karlovy Vary and became especially prominent at the Komorní scéna Aréna in Ostrava, where he created a number of distinctive roles in both classical and contemporary repertoire (such as The Wild Duck, The Gamblers and The Bald Soprano). On stage he is appreciated for his intensity, concentration and ability to build characters with psychological depth.
On screen he has appeared in the films Mamas & Papas, Ostravak Ostravski and Já, Mattoni. For his talent he received the Thalia Award for Drama Actor under 33.
