
Klára Melíšková
Klára Melíšková is one of the most prominent Czech stage and film actresses today. Since 1996, her professional career has been firmly linked to the Dejvice Theatre, which she joined as a student at DAMU along with her entire graduating class.
A graduate of the Department of Alternative and Puppet Theatre, she drew attention during her studies with the title role in the comedy Lysistrata. At the Dejvice Theatre, she became a cornerstone of the ensemble, portraying dozens of roles in acclaimed productions such as A Blockage in the System, Resurrection, The Winter's Tale, and Honey. Her acting style is characterized by extraordinary psychological depth and a sense of natural, understated comedy.
Klára Melíšková holds the record for the most Czech Lion Awards, winning four times for Best Supporting Actress (in the films Champions, Four Suns, I, Olga Hepnarová, and The Owners). Television audiences also know her from projects such as The Dejvice Theatre's Doom, Five Dead Dogs, and the miniseries Suspicion, for which she won a Czech Lion for Best Actress in a Leading Role.
