Karel Beseda

Karel Beseda is a Czech theatre actor and one of the distinctive personalities of the West Bohemian theatre scene. He has worked with Divadlo na inzerát, Divadlo na cestě at the West Bohemian Theatre in Cheb, the Karlovy Vary-based Divadlo Dagmar, and later at the Karlovy Vary City Theatre. He has collaborated with directors such as Andrej Krob, Michael Tarant, Jiří Seydler, and Zdeněk Bartoš. On stage, he has created a wide range of roles – Claudio in Hamlet, Verdi in Viva Verdi, Enobarbus in Antony and Cleopatra, Baron von Kaunitz in the musical Adéla ještě nevečeřela, Oskar Wiener in Musíme si pomáhat, and Major Kobalt in the musical revue Kdyby tisíc klarinetů. He also impressed as Harold Gorringe in Noises Off and in plays by Václav Havel (Divadlo na tahu, Archa Theatre, Hadivadlo).
