
Vladimír Polívka
Vladimír Polívka is a Czech stage, film, and television actor. Since 2018, he has been a member of the Dejvice Theatre ensemble, which he joined after performing at the National Theatre and other Prague and regional venues.
A graduate in dramatic acting from DAMU in Prague, his theatrical profile includes a wide range of roles, from classical drama to original comedy. At the Dejvice Theatre, he performs in acclaimed productions such as The Winter's Tale, Resurrection, Honey, and The Death of Stalin. His collaboration with the Bolek Polívka Theatre is also significant; he participates in original projects there, most notably in the production The Jester and His Son, in which he performs alongside his father, Bolek Polívka. He drew attention on the silver screen with his lead role in the film Places, for which he was nominated for the Czech Film Critics' Award in the Discovery of the Year category. His other film and television credits include the movies Women on the Run and The Glass Room, as well as the series Bohéma, The First Republic, Polda, and Slunečná.
