Vanda Hybnerová

She studied photography at the Secondary School of Graphic Arts in Újezd, Prague, and acting at the Academy of Performing Arts (DAMU) in Prague. She started her career at the Labyrint Theatre and guest-starred in a wide range of other Prague theatres, such as the Vinohrady Theatre, the National Theatre, The Drama Club (Činoherní klub), the Řeznická Street Theatre, the Pod Palmovkou Theatre, the Švanda Theatre, the Celetná Street Theatre, and the Komedie Theatre. In 2004, she won the Thalia Award for Best Actress for her portrayal of Catherine in the production of Proof (Důkaz) at the Řeznická Street Theatre. A year later, she was nominated for the Alfréd Radok Award for the role of Petra in the production of Rainer Werner Fassbinder's play The Bitter Tears of Petra von Kant. Currently, audiences can see her performing at the Prague City Theatres, the Ungelt Theatre, the Palace Theatre, and with the theatre company Depressive Children Long for Money (Depresivní děti touží po penězích). She has also appeared in television series (such as Rose Garden Clinic / Ordinace v růžové zahradě) and in feature films like Wild Bees (Divoké včely) and Something Like Happiness (Štěstí).
