Lenka Odvárková
Lenka Odvárková is a set and costume designer who gives theatrical characters both a face and a soul through fabrics, cuts, and spatial design. A native of Polička and a graduate of Marie Jirásková’s studio at JAMU in Brno, she is one of the most sought-after creators of the contemporary Czech theater scene.
Since 2009, Lenka has been shaping the visual identity of productions on major stages, from the National Theatre in Prague (We Are Cool) to Švanda Theatre, A studio Rubín, and Studio Palm OFF. Her work is closely linked with top directors, most notably Tomáš Dianiška, with whom she co-created the visual style of acclaimed hits like 294 Brave Souls (Divadlo pod Palmovkou) or the biographical drama Špinarka. In recent years, she has excelled at the F. X. Šalda Theatre in Liberec, designing visual hits such as Shakespeare in Love, Shear Madness, and the multi-award-winning 2023 production Burian.
