
Pavla Gajdošíková
Pavla Gajdošíková (b. July 4, Otrokovice) is a Czech actress, singer, and songwriter. She has loved theater since her youth and gained her first professional stage experience through a ten-season engagement at the Petr Bezruč Theatre in Ostrava. There, she portrayed numerous characters from the classical international and Czech repertoire, drawing significant acclaim as Maryša in the production of the same name (Theatre Critics’ Award, Jantar Award, and a Thalia Award nomination). She has also had a long-standing collaboration with the Janáček Philharmonic Ostrava. A multi-talented artist, Pavla Gajdošíková has played the cimbalom since childhood. She loves folklore, songwriting, and singing in the band Tamala, where she showcases her charismatic voice. Since 2020, she has been a member of the ensemble at the Divadlo pod Palmovkou theater (The Cherry Orchard, The Žítková Goddesses). The drama film Mistakes (Chyby) offered her the lead role of Ema, a young woman whose past catches up with her after having made an adult film in her youth. For this performance, she won a Czech Lion Award for Best Actress in a Leading Role. She has also appeared at the Divadlo Mír theater in the production Two Completely Naked Men (Dva úplně nazí muži) and is well-known to television audiences from the series Špunti na cestě.
