
Володимира Фомінова
Vladimíra Pachl Fomínová is a leading Czech costume designer. She studied set design at the Secondary School of Applied Arts in Prague and then continued her studies in costume and makeup design at the Theatre Faculty of the Academy of Performing Arts (DAMU) in Prague. She regularly designs elaborate costumes for leading Czech theatre stages, such as the National Theatre in Prague, the Klicpera Theatre in Hradec Králové, the Municipal Theatres of Prague, and the South Bohemian Theatre. In the theatre world, she has worked closely with renowned directors such as Miroslav Krobot and David Drábek. Her career in film and television is equally prominent, where she convincingly captures the dark atmosphere of detective stories as well as the specifics of recent history. On screen, she forms a successful duo with her husband, director Jan Pachl. Together they worked on the feature film Gangster Ka (2015) and highly popular hit series such as Cirkus Bukowsky, Rapl, the award-winning retro series Volha (2023), and others like Metoda Markovič: Straka or Odznak Vysočina.
