We live in a system ruled by power. We believe that power belongs to the people. But history proves otherwise, time and again: uprisings, wars, epidemics — all of it returns. The cycle continues, no matter what.

RUBICON is an immersive dance performance about the nature of power and the cyclical patterns of history. At its core is the generational theory from The Fourth Turning: every generation lives through its own stage of the great cycle, and none can step outside its bounds. The audience is given power — and must make a choice: to rule history, or to submit to the cycle?

Choreographer and author Inna Matiushyna created a work where movement is the language of power, and the body speaks what the mind keeps silent. Here, the audience does not watch — they are inside.
